Tried this place for the first time today and really liked it. The salad was so fresh. It was definitely hand chopped iceberg lettuce and I loved the fresh mozzarella cubes on top. Definitely not a bag mix. I would love to try the antipasto or chef salad next time. The ranch was good and so was the iced tea. It was very clean inside, although the bathroom could use some updates. Our waitress told us people come there for the pizza and cheese bread so we tried the cheese bread and liked it. It was very thin but had good flavor and a good marina sauce for dipping. My lasagna portion was huge ! It was very meaty and had great flavor the only thing it needed was more cheese. I love a good cheese pull with lasagna and all things cheesy. The owners greeted us as soon as we went in and came by later to see how we liked our food. The table across from us got a delicious looking pizza. They had a nice dessert case up front with carrot cake, cheesecake, a chocolate cake , and maybe an Italian cream cake which all looked great. We will go back for sure.
The food and prices were outstanding. I had the steak and cheese, added jalapenos, and it comes with fries for $12.99. I was able to make two meals of it. The service was good, but I felt like they may be slightly short staffed. In their defense, I was one of the first through the door, so they may have just been coming up to speed. The atmosphere was nice but not overwhelming. However, the entire experience was great, and I will return!
The server allowed me to substitute a Greek salad for a garden salad with my meal of lasagna which was tasty. Good desserts but selection varies. About $30 per person for Saturday lunch at typical restaurant so overpriced.
So this is you mother's country Kitchen. If it had a taller, slightly toasted Italian guy running around it. Right down to the music and vibe. It's in the Old Mama's house. Based off a single visit. I got the steak sub with grilled onion, pepper, mayo on a toasted bun with fries. Fries seem to be the go to side. Basically a Philly but toasted which was a nice touch when you combine that with the thick layer of cheese. However I got NO Italian vibe off the sandwich or the plate. No herbs, spices, marinara, nothing of that nature so if you want a more Italian flair maybe try a pizza or something else , I will be next time. All the ingredients tasted of quality and the service was exceptional, even though the single gal had a church party of 15 come in. Which they should feel at home. A 3.5 is accurate when considering all factors. Enjoy.
The restaurant was nice and clean. The food was delicious. For lunch you still get a good amount of food. Well worth the price. I got the small one topping pizza and a side salad. My friend got the Gyro and fries.
OMG y'all have to try this place! It is so good. The portions they serve could feed 2 people. We've already eaten a lot off our plate and still have plenty to take home for later. It's nice to have a new place to eat in the area. Y'all are going great! Keep up the good work!
I don’t really ever write reviews, but this place was absolutely horrendous. Service was terrible and food was not great. After we were seated, the hostess came and took our drink orders, took 10 minutes to come back with the drinks. I ordered the lasagna and my Fiancé ordered the shrimp scampi. We thought we’d give an appetizer a try while we waited on our food, we ordered the bruschetta. The bruschetta was mushy and soggy, cheese slightly melted and lukewarm. It was pre packaged sliced mozzarella, not fresh. Tasted very bland and was not very good. We finally receive our food and my lasagna was more like soup, it was very unseasoned and disappointing to say the least as the sauce just tasted like tomatoes, no seasoning whatsoever. Gave me terrible heartburn after. The shrimp scampi was disgusting. My fiancé couldn’t eat it. She had 4 shrimp and regular spaghetti noodles that came with it, but the sauce for the scampi tasted only like lemon. Just pure lemon juice. It was bitter and bland other than the lemon flavor, shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. I was going to ask to send the food back, but our waitress hadn’t been by our table since she gave us our drinks and took our order. We waited 40 minutes for her to come back and yet she did not. I had to go ask the hostess for our server to return and I got a different lady, who asked what we needed and I said the check and to see our waitress. Well, our waitress avoided us from that point forward, she happily waited on the table directly next to us but avoided us like the plague, very unprofessional and unwelcoming. I was not rude to any of the staff, but was puzzled by our waitresses actions. So I finally got our check and we left. I will NEVER go back and would advise anyone to not even try it. It’s not worth your money or time. The folks at the tables around us had the same consensus about the food and they said they wouldn’t return either. My visit was a week after they opened and I’ve waited for their Google page to appear to warn others. I’ll attach photos of the food below. Not to mention the bill was $50 for very well below average food.
Just opened, but on track to be amazing! Pizza was good with great cheese! Husband said the wings were pretty good also! Meat lovers, Greek and Tony’s special, all of them were delicious!
